A Night for Little Hearts and Big Miracles

Join us for this gala which focuses on supporting the Midwest Heart Connection. An organization which provides information, resources, and support to children with congenital heart disease (CHD) and their families, serving Nebraska and the surrounding areas. There will be entertainment, a silent auction, dinner and an unsurpassed live auction - all for the cause of helping families affected by CHD.

My items for the silent auction:

"Opulent Bordeaux" (part 1 of a coordinating set of 2)

Part 1 of the set: This is the purse I made for the silent auction. It is a lavishly fun little bag, just ready for the holidays or for dressing up your jeans for a night out. It's made from eyelash fabric, lined with a silver brocade. There is a zippered closure under the envelop flap embellished with a vintage rhinestone focal piece and studed with Swarovski crystals. The fringe is handbeaded glass and silver rectangular sequins.

Part 2 of the set: The corrdinated jewelry can be worn 3 ways; pin with 3 tiers of chain, pin with 2 tiers of chain, or a necklace. I reworked a vintage finding using paint, and collaged with other vintage crystals and chain.

I will be participating as a member of the Midwest Lampworkers Guild. We will be in the Crystal Forge (glass blowing) Studio- on the first floor- South side of the building. It's just north of the Hotel parkinglots, and west of the Quest Center.
Come for fun, food, holiday spirit and shopping. It's a huge place with many different artists in their studios- 3 floors in a big old warehouse building. Plan on spending some time if you can.
